Tyler’s Tangy Wings

 

INGREDIENTS

2 LBS Chicken Drummettes/Flats 
2 TBSP Minced Garlic 
1 Stick of butter 
1 Large Bottle of sweet baby rays wing sauce (or something similar)
2 Lemons 
1 cup of parmesan 
Bottle of brown sugar based seasoning (like Holy Voodoo Meat Church)

DIRECTIONS

Grill Prep: Get smoker to around 275*F use hickory wood chunks when the wings are about to go on. 

NOTE: Wings can also be grilled or fried. 

Wing Prep: In a large mixing bowl combine wings, 1 tbsp minced garlic, ½ stick of melted butter, ½ bottle of wing sauce, 1 lemon juiced, ½ cup parmesan cheese (crumbled), 2-4 tbsp (depending on you) of Holy Voodoo Meat Church rub, mix and let sit for around an hour MAKE ANOTHER OF THE MARINADE TO TOSS IN LATER. 

Cooking: Place your wood chucks in the grill and let smoke form place all wings around on grill grates close and let smoke for around 30-45 minutes until the internal temp is around 155-160*F. When you’re around that temperature take your wings off and re toss in a bowl of the NEW marinade and than lower your racks on the grill to get a more direct cook and char on the wings and finish off till the internal temp reads >=165*F Pull and use any remaining sauce to re toss and than serve with blue cheese dressing.
